Try making this simple and easy recipe today! These Cranberry Oatmeal Scones are perfect on chilly mornings or during tea breaks as their texture is hearty due to the addition of rolled oats.
Ingredients:
- 200g Low Protein Flour
- 1 tablespoon Wheat Bran
- 70g Castor Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Double Acting Baking Powder (DABP)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 115g Butter, cold and diced
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 40g Cheese, diced
- 2 tablespoon Cranberry
- 1 tablespoon Toasted Oatmeal
- 120g Milk
- 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 30g Cream Cheese
- Egg Wash
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Mix Butter and Sugar together
- Next, add Vanilla Extract, Flour, Wheat Bran, DABP and Salt
- Add Milk, Cream Cheese, Cranberry, Toasted Oatmeal and Cheese, blend thoroughly
- Store the mixture in a chiller for 15 minutes
- Place mixture over baking mat dusted with Flour
- Cut mixture into 6 circles
- Move it onto a baking pan and add some Egg Wash
- Bake at 180°C for 25-30 min
